After analyzing a large number of domestic and overseas literatures and the dates about the job-search behavior we find that, the research on job-search behavior especially of the graduating students were very scarce. So researches on job-search behavior of the graduating students' job-search behavior become great significance not only for human resources but also for school education. Hence force this thesis discussed the structure of job-search behavior and its correlation using psychology empirical method. In detail, based on analyzing literature, interviews , questionnaires and statistical analysis the dates of questionnaires for the graduating students from Guangzhou City, we got the 4-factor model of job-search behavior by Exploratory Factor Analysis and tested the structure by Confirmatory Factor Analysis further. In addition, the study discussed the relationship between job-search behavior and its relevant variables and the differences in demographic variables on the four factors. The results are as following:(1) Job-search behavior in Guangzhou is made up of by the four factors, which are job preparation, attitude adjustment, using of network and cost of job-searching. The reliability and validity of the questionnaire reliability and validity were good.(2) There are no significant differences between differences demographic variables displayed by results of the One-way ANOVA.(3) There are significant differences on attitude adjustment and job-search behavior among different levels of self-esteem of students. Instead, no significant difference on using of network, cost of job-searching and job preparation. The results of regression analysis showed self-esteem of job seekers has forecasting effect on total and all latitudes of job-search behavior.
