The Research On The International Competitiveness Of China's Chemical Product

With several decade's development, the chemical industry of our country has made great progress. Dozens of chemical product's output has taken the lead position in the world. Chemical trade increases rapidly. However, with economy globalization and trade liberalization, market competition of chemical product becomes more intense, facing more influencing factors such as RMB appreciation, oil price shock, resource shortage and technical trade barrier. Under this circumstance, how to analyze and evaluate the international competence of chemical product is important to the development of chemical industry and national economy of China.First, current study situation about international competitiveness of abroad and domestic were summarized, research way, technical route and innovations were given. The concept and classification of international competitiveness were introduced, and theory base of international competitiveness were generalized, direct and deep factors influencing product international competitiveness were analyzed. Based on that, evaluating system of our country's chemical product international competitiveness was established.Secondly, powerful nations in chemical product are selected as comparison basis, by means of international market share, trade competitiveness and revealed comparative advantage, the international competitiveness of overall chemical product are evaluated. The conclusion is that competition advantage of chemical product of our country is insufficient. Because of various type of chemical product, international competitiveness of different type chemical product was further analyzed according to Harmonized Commodity Description and Coding System. Through international market share, trade competitiveness, revealed comparative advantage and import/export price indexes, it was found that labor-intensive and resource-intensive products with low value added has strong competition advantage, but the advantage is significantly decreasing. Multiple linear regression equation was established to evaluate influencing extent of per capita net fixed assets, R&D input intensity, market concentration rate and average enterprise scale on chemical product international competitiveness.Finally, on the base of demonstration analysis, this thesis analyzed detailed reason why our country's chemical product lacks competitive power, and put forward corresponding proposals about promoting the international competitiveness of chemical product...
