The Study Of Zhejiang Textile Industry's International Competitiveness

Textile industry is one of traditional competitive industries in Zhejiang Province, playing an important role in Zhejiang's national economic development. To study the international competitiveness of Zhejiang's textile industry could let us better understand its status and development potential.The paper studies the impact elements of Zhejiang textile industry's international competitiveness, using quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis and comparing with the major competitors in the world to do empirical analysis of Zhejiang textile industry's advantages and disadvantages in international competitiveness in all aspects .Then the paper uses the principal components analysis method to analyze how theses elements affected Zhejiang textile industry's international competitiveness and their extent.The study shows Zhejiang textile industry's advantages are in relatively low labor costs, low export price, private capital having high active in investment, vast domestic market and prosperous economic environment. Major disadvantages are the labors only accepted the most basic education which is not enough for their future development, raw materials are seriously depended on the external markets ,the inputs and innovations are lack in scientific and technological areas, have non international brands and international trade friction are intensified. Principal component analysis shows that the main impact elements of Zhejiang textile industry's international competitiveness are the management and resource; the import and export capacity has very weak impact in the international competitiveness, though it is an a competitive advantage in Zhejiang textile industry's international competitiveness. As Zhejiang textile industry's has insufficient international competitiveness in the management and resources, and the management and resources are two impartment elements for Zhejiang textile industry's future development ,thus the result is that Zhejiang textile industry's international competitiveness shows potential disadvantage competition.
