Discussion On Strategic Cooperation Between The Fourth Party Logistics And The Third Party Logistics

With the acceleration of the economic globalization and fast development of modern science and technology,especially information technology and communication technology,the shift of modern logistics becomes a main approach for enterprises to cut cost and enhance competitiveness.The third party logistics has many advantages in distribution services,however,it lacks strategic expertise to handle the entire supply chain and skills to integrate supply chain flows.From the idea of supply chain management,it has limited ability to lower cost and keep supply chain cost at an optimal level.Under this background,as an innovative logistics mode,the fourth party logistics emerges as the times require and has gradually become hot in logistics research.The fourth party logistics integrates social logistics resources effectively and creates value for the entire supply chain.It not only controls and manages specific logistics services,but also puts forward schemes for the whole logistics process,to meet different customer needs.In practical operation,the logistics service of fourth party logistics is done by third party logistics providers.Its strategic decisions of the supply chain is fulfilled and tested by the practical operation of third party logistics providers.Its solutions for the supply chain and effect of integrating social logistics resources are directly influenced by third party logistics providers' performance.This paper is just based on this thought.This paper first introduces the fourth party logistics background,mode of operation, the development of the status quo at home and abroad,and then proceed to the third party logistics and the fourth party logistics comparative analysis on the characteristics of a third party logistics,operational modalities,the fourth party logistics comparative advantage, on the basis of strategic cooperation that the two ideas.The third party logistics and the fourth party logistics will face of common service customers,the third party logistics with a specialization in cost advantage,but lack of the whole supply chain operation of the strategic capacity,leading to further reduce the difficult business operation costs.Although the fourth party logistics overcomes certain shortcomings of the third party logistics,the operating environment of partnership and cooperation of the complexity and uncertainty brings about by high transaction costs,idle and often leads wastage of resources.The fourth party logistics is a leading force logistics provider,and the third party logistics is an important form of logistics professionalism,able to provide enterprise customers and business relative to the overall situation of the highest quality service.Combining their respective strengths,we will have greater advantages.In order to better promote their strategic cooperation,this paper establishes a cooperative interest income distribution model.The analysis reached by the two models in the cooperation mechanism in the distribution of benefits under the proceeds will be greater than the general conditions for cooperation in outsourcing under the proceeds.So both sides can be under certain conditions and agree on a mutually acceptable allocation ratio,making the two sides increase revenue so as to achieve mutual wins.By use of game theory and information economics in the 'signal transmission model' and 'information screening model',this paper draws to the basic idea of how the fourth party logistics excite the third party logistics service provider to provide the best service incentive mechanism.Finally,with characters of supermarket chains and distribution of goods chain stores,this paper uses the idea of strategic cooperation between the fourth party logistics and the third party logistics and designs the fourth party logistics distribution mode.
