Research On Quality Management System Issues And Improvements In Jingzhou AGC

ISO/TS16949:2002 has become the common requirement of the automotive industry worldwide;Q1 is the special requirement what Ford Motor Company issued in 2002 for the suppliers based on ISO/TS16949:2002 and other requirements,only a few excellent suppliers of Ford Motor Company's could meet Q1 requirement and be awarded Q1 Certificate. Camshaft is the major product of Jingzhou Automotive Global Components Manufacturing Co.,Ltd (Jingzhou AGC);It passed ISO9000,QS9000 and TS16949 audit sequently,and passed Ford Q1 audit in November 2004,it has relative strong position in automotive components area especially in camshaft manufacturing.This article introduces the basic content and requirements of TS16949 and Q1,analyses the quality management issues in Jingzhou AGC,including:documents management,management responsibility,human resource management,production management,new project development,gage calibration and maintenance,purchasing management,equipment maintenance,package and warehouse management,SPC,product and process monitor etc. It gives improvement suggestions regarding the quality management system mainly and other issues according to TS16949 elements and Ford Q1,including:revising system documents and implementing according to documents,cost management,human resource management,new project management etc. Jingzhou AGC and other similar companies should be able to take benefits for the continuous improvements from this article.
