With the development and investment of multinational companies in China,the demand for talents soars up.Meanwhile the growth of Chinese companies makes the "war" even hotter.Software and software related industry becomes an important components to the whole economy system.The key factor for a successful IT industry is human resource and talents. But the IT industry is facing a shortage of supply in human resource.In China,there are many fresh university graduates who are hard to find a suitable job while on the other hand the enterprises are complaining a short of supply for talents.How to fill the gap between suppliers and the consumers becomes a critical issue that needs to be solved.Meanwhile because of the talent war,the lead time for recruitment as well as the training cost is increasing.How to decrease the hiring leading time and how to effectively control the cost of training;how to train the new hires so that they are aware of the companies culture and products in a short time or better before on boarding.These are questions that many enterprises try to solve.This dissertation is based on a case study of the Vocational Training Program in S company.With analysis on the leading time of hiring,on the job training time and higher attrition rate among new hires,the root causes are identified and consequently with the program to solve these root causes.The Vocational Program is imported from Germany with local customizations based on the educational system of China as well as the situation of the company.
