Performance appraisal is an important work in human resources development and management. Motivation is the core of human resources management. It is a useful method for appraisal and incentive to motivate initiative of managers and executives. Through scientific, fair performance evaluation, we could know employees' from all aspects. The correct evaluation results could be adopted to increase positivity of managers and employees using suitable motivating measures. In the situations of economic globalization and entering WTO, enterprises face with more and more dramatic market competition. In order to survive in the competition, enterprises have to hold more talents as first resource, especially the executives, who play an important role in corporations. Their positivity, initiative and creative depend so much on the scientific, fair performance appraisal and appropriate incentive measures.The study on performance appraisal has not only learning value, but also crucial realistic significance and necessity. This paper has summarized all sorts of performance evaluation theories. After analyzing the actuality of performance appraisal and specialty of executives in D Company, we give a frame of performance evaluation. Based on the job analysis, the performance appraisal system is stated more detailed in the methods of balanced score card and key performance indicators. The complete performance evaluation system and incentive measures would bring the internal management into the normal circle, and advance the core competence furthermore.The performance appraisal system not only becomes the substance of human resources management in D Company, but also leaves clues for the similar enterprises in the same industry, which flourishes the actual methods of performance appraisal.
