China has 4,110,000,000 square meter of public buildings until 2005 , estimate that general public works area will reach 11,500,000,000 m2 to 2020. Though large scale public buildings is insufficient 4% of city and town gross floors area , their energy consumption is that our country city and town buildings 20% all above of total energy consumption. Gigantic energy consumption of large-scale public works has brought about grave power consumption load not only , has also produced a lot of disadvantageous effect to the environment. Large-scale public buildings height energy consumption problem has already been regarded highly by the Chinese government. Chongqing is the youngest municipality directly under the government of Central Government; Chengdu city is the capital city of Sichuan Province. Two cities politics are being a location region, culture and conomy centre. The number of large-scale public buildings in Chengdu-Chongqing area is enormous. ESCO (Energy Service Company) is that the sources of energy service company shorter form. This kind of late-model energy conservation service company has got pretty gigantic achievement in world everywhere building energy conservation field. Facing to Chengdu-Chongqing area that gigantic area marketplacem, Chengdu-Chongqing not having one speciality the sources of energy service company specifically for large-scale public buildings at present. This paper is exactly under this background to do some reaserch on market prospect of the ESCO service for large public buildings.This reaserch aims at find whether the ESCO is available for the Chengdu-Chongqing area. This paper gives a brief description of ESCO and its general service ways. Then through the market reaserch and paper questioning, we got the situation of energy consumption and energy saving retrofit willingness in Chengdu-Chongqing area. We also analyse the fluernce of building energy saving monitoring system in Chengdu-Chongqing area. Base on all the analysis, we got the conclusion that the future of the ESCO service for large public buildings in Chengdu-Chongqing area is hopeful.As ESCO is a newly born models in Chengdu-Chongqing area, lots of problems are going to be solved in practice. Through the paper, we hope to see a little bit benefit push for ESCO Service for Large Public Buildings in Chengdu-Chongqing area.
