From the 1990s,the port has converted from land-and-water coordinated transport hub into comprehensive trading center and logistics center. In the new century, Chongqing port logistics group has been probing into the service functions of modern logistcs in order to speed up the construction of the port and have an advantage in fierce competition,to build the Chongqing economic and social development needs of the Integrated Logistics Group. In the 11th economic and social development of a five-year plan in chongqing,a logistics park will be built by Chongqing Cuntan Port, and Chongqing port logistics group proposed that Cuntan Port will be built up the largest hub port and container transport infrastructure by the end of 2010 in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River.Under the two plans,in-depth investigation and study the grass-roots level on the basis of port construction, with the Chongqing port logistics group practice,I will explore and study scientific configuration and rational distribution and coordinated development between the logistics park construction and the building of the port in order to define the direction of development and business functions of port logistics, and design the infrastructure in Cuntan logistics park, which relies on the infrastructure of Cuntan Port. Chongqing Port Logistics Group will develope from the traditional sense, the handling, storage expansion into a logistics centre functional prototype of the integrated logistics park.Considering the capable of Cuntan Port and the planning of Cuntan Bonded Zone in Chongqing, the paper focuses on the development of Cuntan port and the economic development plan in background areas, and designs the main five functions(port operations, external trade, export processing, bonded multimodal transport and financial and business services) and the infrastructure of Cuntan Park.
