Research On The Development Of Beijing's Inland Ports Under New Functional Orientation

Port plays a vital role on promoting the pattern of all-round opening up.Although Beijing Inland Ports achieved remarkable effects,there are still many acid challenges on the course of new functional orientation in Beijing,such as non-capital functional dredging and transforming transportation from highway to railway which brought formidable test to Beijing Inland Ports.However,when focusing on long-term development,these temporary impacts are also an opportunity for reformation and transition.Moreover,the development issues about local Inland Ports is precisely considered by Beijing Municipal Committee,Port Office of People's Government of Beijing Municipality and other relevant sectors.The research methods used in this paper are colloquia,case analysis,interview survey and field work,which aims to explore,in the case of new functional orientation,how to develop Beijing's Inland Ports.In the end,the feasible advises for establishing a comprehensive,characteristic,scientific,eco-friendly and humanistic inland ports are proposed,combined with Beijing's new strategic planning.Firstly,basic information of objects in this study(Air Port of Capital International Airport,Pinggu International Inland Port,Fengtai Inland Port and Chaoyang Inland Port)are introduced.The analysis about development environment and operation situation of all objects lay foundation for latter suggestions,also point the direction for Beijing's Inland Ports.Secondly,expounding the particularity and interact relationship between Beijing's Inland Ports and regional development serve to demonstrate the Inland Ports' necessity and significance in the city of Beijing,and provide basis for constructing Inland Ports with its characteristics.Thirdly,explain present difficulties,so that reasonable advices can be raised in the last part.Next,three prosperous ports as typical cases are studied,for Beijing's Inland Ports can learn from their successful operational experiences to offset their own weakness.In conclusion,considering Beijing's Inland Port's current situation,development environment,intrinsic characteristics,interaction between ports and reginal development,challenges and experiences from cases,indicate the development route for Beijing's Inland Ports,which embrace ports' particularity,city's function,industrial structure,regional integration,ports' competitiveness,administrative system and sustainable development.
