Correctly understanding the general rule of metropolitan area developing process and the experience of typical metropolitan area development is very important academic meaning and practical meaning on speeding up urbanized step and strategic designing the metropolitan area development.With the development of Chinese cities nearly 30 years, some metropolitan areas of Chinese eastern inshore region are rapidly growing up. Yangtse Delta, Zhujiang Delta and Jingjinji metropolitan area only accounts for the national territory total area 2.4%, but the population and GDP occupy the nation separately 10% and 30%, the gross value of industrial output and the social retail turnover occupy the nation separately 35% and 31%, actual using the foreign capital occupies the nation 65%. Three metropolitan areas already became centralized distribution area of social economy essential factors, such as national industry, capital, technology, labor force and so on. Their development is affecting entire national or regional development, and brings the important effects on the world economic movement pattern. Yangtse Delta metropolitan area is the metropolitan area which China forms most early and had been confirmed by world before reform and open policy. In China, studying the developing process of Yangtse Delta metropolitan area is widely representative.
