Exploration Of Coordination Development On Historical Cultural City Protection And Tourism Development

The communication of Chinese and world culture has been motivated by China's reform and open policy in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Under the influence of historical environment protection, the idea of ancient city protection has gradually come into mind. In 1982, 24 cities, having great historical value and revolution significance, were labeled as first national historical cultural cities in order to strengthen management and protection. Because of their historical value, artistic value and scientific value, these historical cultural cities have been written into development annals and become outstanding historical heritage.With the gradual promotion of culture level and constant attention to spiritual requirement, tourism has changed from single scenic tourism to culture tourism represented by thriving historic cultural tourism. But due to blind pursuit of economic profit and the lack of knowledge on the relation of protection and use and, tourism development activities have bad influence on protection of historical cultural cities, thus greatly contradicting development and protection. It is urgent and needy to combine protection of historical cultural cities and tourism development, realize sustainable development. Based on this background, this paper, taking Ping Yao ancient city as an example, aims to explore the combination point between famous city protection and tourism development, making them coordinating development.There are 5 parts:Chapter I briefly introduces the research background, significance and method, and provide research frame.Chapter II mainly introduces the relation of historical cultural cities protection and tourism development. They have the same idea basis which means they depend on each other and damage together and thrive together. Reasonable tourism development of historical cultural cities may bring them substantial space and social, economic benefit and satisfy the cost on their protection. But if we don't pay attention to special characteristics of historical cultural heritage resources, blind development may bring disaster effect on heritage resources.Chapter III introduces the coordinating development theory on historical cultural cities protection and tourism development. They all belong to the same development system of historical cultural cities, which was led by the idea of sustainable development and guided by the theory of coordination science.Chapter IV introduces the protection and tourism development of Ping Yao ancient city in order to summarize experience and point out the necessity on the protection and tourism development. Chapter V explores the method of coordinating development from such as aspects as plan, execution and organization based on setting principles.Chapter VI concludes the stating ideas and summarizes the whole paper.
