The knowledge employees are more and more concerned by enterprise and social with the age of knowledge-based comes. Different from investors gained by tangible assets, knowledge employees provide knowledge and professional technical to enterprise and carry out an increase in value. Therefore,they also brought new perplexity and difficulty for the human resource management of enterprise, knowledge employees' performance evaluation is the initial problem. How to evaluate their performance more scientific and reasonable becomes the important problem of enterprise.Under this kind of background,this article summarizes the theory and methods of performance evaluation at first.Secondly,analyzes the characters of knowledge employees. Include the characters of knowledge employees; the characters of knowledge employees' performance and the function of evaluate their performance.After this, the article selects three types of knowledge employees to investigate, all of them have representative and prevalent. Firstly, set up a evaluate system for research and development (R&D) employee aim at their work characteristics. Secondly,based on the evaluate system for technical specialist; make use of related theories to set up evaluation model. Finally,analyzes the characters of manager and redesigns their evaluate index system.In the conclusion,summarizes the main innovation points and limit of study.
