Research On Service Industry Development In Hebei

The development of service industry is not only reflects the organization of the socialized production but also measures the development of entire economy of a country or region. To accelerate the development of service industry through raising the proportion of the service sectors in the third industry could make the service sectors serve as a major driving force for the national economy. That is the out-way to optimize the economic structure and to facilitate the transformation of economical growth pattern. That is an urgent demand for overcoming the bottleneck of lacking resources and using energy efficiency. That is also an effective approach to adapt to the new situation of the opened market and to realize the leap of the comprehensive national strength.Firstly, the thesis elaborated the service industry by its concept formation, origin, and the definition of its modern one; then it made a description of the latest studying situation about tertiary industry and the economic environment which Hebei province faced in developing service sectors. This thesis, mainly according to the statistics of annual report in 2006 as well as abundant historical data, analyzed the development of service sectors in Hebei province in the following aspects: the total economic amount, capital scale, profits, the acceleration to the gross domestic production (GDP), investment, employment, private enterprise and so on. Then put forward the problems existing in the development of service industry in Hebei province: low proportion, unreasonable structure, low productivity and urbanization, lacking of specialists, discrepancy between the regions, which are the six elements that restrains the service industry of Hebei province. Finally, on the basis of the above analysis and combined with the experiences, strategic target and key points in developing service industry, the thesis advanced a series countermeasures to develop the service sector in Hebei: shifting outdated concept, enhancing implementation, expediting introduce and foster talents, developing service sectors better and faster, etc. This thesis aims to provide substantial research and countermeasures for Hebei. And I hope it could be meaningful in practice and then shed light on the development of service industry in Hebei province.
