With the rapid development and expansion of Iron& Steel and Petrifaction Industries, the Industrial Gases Industry which takes both of the industries as its major customers has also acquired unpredictable opportunity in marketing expansion. These have always been the popular subjects in Industrial Gases Vocation, which has relatively high requirements on investments, continuous and stable supply, complexity of process, automatized instrumentation control and operation risks, to establish critical capacity planning of precise, reliable and flexible customers responding, enhance procurement performance and reduce stock level of key materials and operate in the optimized module while the requirements of customers are met. Correspondingly, searching out an effective approach to solve similar problems is the orientation of all pursuing in this area.In Chapter One, the management status of industrial gases vocation was overviewed and the logistics issues at BTG instanced in the article are elicited as well. BTG is in its golden period of development in serving its major customers. There will be great opportunities and challenges as well for the company. The chapter indicates that it is essential and critical to identify and acknowledge that the supply chain management plays a significant role in effectively solving the problems of logistics, customer demand analyzing, key procurement processing and inventory controlling etc. On summarizing and inducing the fundamentals and practical research of supply chain management (SCM), SCM procurement and vendor managed inventory in Chapter Two, the background and current status in logistics of the case corporation are specified in Chapter Three, and factors contributed and characteristics in their nature were described and dissected respectively as well. With the guidance of supply chain theory and via the collection of a great deal of data and investigation, Chapter Four applied and practiced sufficiently the advanced logistics science in modifying and optimizing of the analysis and forecast in customer demands, and even more modeling and restructuring of SCM procurement and vendor managed inventory were achieved in the second half of this chapter.Chapter Five focuses on discussing at the height of stratagem decision-making how to operate in the most economic manner with the precondition of satisfying the customers'demand. With the comparison of different consequences both in approaches of PEST&SWOT and the theory of risk expectation, the chapter explored and achieved finally in how the corporation could permanently retain and consistently promote the efficiency and profits of the operations. Further more, in the last chapter, the paper discusses what we need to strive for enhancing logistic efficiency and reducing operation cost associated with capturing the characteristics of the industry , the requirement of its enhancement and the properties of its related products at the historical moment of integration and consolidation on global manufacturers. Some constructive recommendations are submitted for creating an excellent environment of professional logistic service towards healthy development in the whole of Industrial Gases Vocation.
