A Research On Effect Of The Textile Export On Economic Growth Of Shaanxi Province

For more than 50 years, the textile industry has made important contributions for the development of the Shaanxi's economy and the national textile industry. Especially since the reform and opening-up policy, the economy of Shaanxi developed so fast, the role of textile exports can not be ignored. Meanwhile, because of the rapid growth of the export in Shaanxi and constantly improve the level of opening to the outside world, textile exports in GDP also increased its proportion. With the carried out of the development policy in western China and the China's entered into WTO, in particular, on January 1, 2005 the cancel of all quotas, Shaanxi's textile and garment industry has made further development and expansion. 2006, the Shaanxi local government has put forward it as one of the eight pillar industries. Although compared with other areas in China, there are still some gaps between them, the overall efficiency has improved. Recent years, due to the changed of the international environment and the heightened trade frictions, the textile exports are facing severe challenges. In order to sustain a steady and increasing economic development in Shaanxi Province, textile exports alone, is undoubtedly a long way to go.In this paper, the writer adopts a method of the combination of the study of the theory and practical case, the analysis of the quantitative and qualitative. First, the writer makes an analysis of the relationship on foreign trade and economic growth, and then mainly focus on the efficiency of its textile export and economic growth by using practical cases. Finally, the writer gives her reasonable analysis and own opinions on the cause for the weakening of the promote of its economic development by textile export. Through theoretical analysis and related data of the test showed that: whether vertical or horizontal comparison, the promotion of Shaanxi textile exports for its economic growth shows a weakening trend. The reason is that during the development of the textile industry there are still a lot of the limitations from both outside and inner that limits its further development for foreign trade. And thus, weaken the function of the textile export in promoting economic growth.Therefore, only to find the Shaanxi Provincial textile trade development lags behind the crux of the matter can greatly enhance its role in promoting economic growth, finally guarantee the foreign trade and economic growth side by side before the trip, and complement each other. Study found, the reasons for its backward are as follows: the implementation of preferential policies, economic structure and structural obstacles, the backward ideas, the backward development of private economy and the weakness of the foreign trade competitiveness. So this paper will make function on the improvement of its profit and quality on textile export, meet the challenges of economic globalization. Make the textile play a better role in the promotion of economic growth has a realistic meaning.
