In the process of urbanization, the city as a carrier of the urbanization, is not existing alone, it has the close relationship with the city and the area around. The rational distribution and consummates the cities' construction system, is a significant theory and the realistic problem related to the development the urbanization.Jilin Province is traditional Industrial base area of China,the urbanization rate is relatively high. But to study Jilin Province's urbanization development and the present situation concretely, we will discover that in its urbanized advancement there has always been many problems which urgently await to be solved, For example, despite a higher urbanization rate, there are some problems such as the slow development of urbanization and urbanization of poor quality.The development process of urbanization, is not only the process of The rural population transfer to the cities,while is also the process of continuous improvement of urban system. This article took the Jilin Province urbanization and the cities system present situation as the realistic foundation, Took solution of the problems as the guidance,Utilized related discipline theory and the method of the economic geography, the urban geography and the regional economics and so on, Has analyzed the trend of development of the Jilin Province cities' system, analyzed the insufficiencies which exist in the developing process of the Jilin Province cities system.This main objective of this article is that through discussion to the Jilin Province urbanization and the cities system's development condition, to find the subject matters which restrict the urbanized development in the Jilin Province cities system development, Then carry on the analysis to the direction of Jilin Province cities system construction's development, and present the corresponding policy proposal. Through the formation of a reasonable system of cities and towns in order to promote the development of urbanization in Jilin Province.This article is divided into four parts:The first part is related to the basic concepts and introductory literature review. Firstly to do a brief introduction of urbanization and the concept of urban system,on this basis to explain the relevant basic theory of the urbanization and urban system.Including Central place theory,Growth pole theory and Point-axis development theory.Has established the rationale foundation for the following analysis.This section also reveals the significance of urbanization theory, as well as the theoretical differences and debates of the way of urbanization with Chinese characteristics.The second part is about the evolution of urbanization in Jilin Province and the existing problems.In this section,two issues has been explored.First to analyze evolution of Jilin Province's urbanization,simply Introduced the historical development and the present situation of Jilin Province's urbanization, have provided the realistic foundation for the following analysis; Secondly, to analyze the problems in the process of urbanization in Jilin Province,through this part of the analysis, unfold the real problem and the situation of the urbanization process.The third part is about the current urban system in Jilin Province and its impact and constraint on the advance of urbanization.In this section, discussion was carried out from two aspects. First, through the analysis of spatial structure and the size of the structure of urban system in Jilin Province, to reveal the present situation characteristic and the problems in the cities pattern development of Jilin Province.Then to provide the reality basis for proposing the strategy and the suggesting measures to the Jilin Province cities system's construction which may be chosen. Second, an analysis of the current situation of urban system in Jilin Province and its impact and constraints of urbanization,to find reason of a series of problem which encountered in the Jilin Province urbanization development.The fourth part is the direction and the countermeasure for advancing the cities system construction of Jilin Province. According to the conclusion of analysis about urbanization of Jilin Province,the history of urban system and the current situation, Combined with the facing problem in Jilin Province cities system constructionat this stage,elaborated the future Jilin Province cities system constructing direction. Put forward the idea of building a group and three cabooles,to take the industry as the link, lead a more reasonable development for entire province cities system,and try to propose the countermeasure for promotion of the urbanization Jilin Province and the construction of cities system , namely, to make recommendations in four areas including the household registration system, land policy, the social security system and improvement the mechanism of financial investment for promoting the development of urbanization in Jilin Province.In the full text elaboration,the author's view is that for the development of all cities and towns of Jilin Province, it is necessary to concentrate the limited funds and resources to the development of the core cities and the cities and areas with developing potential and advantages;encouraging the population to the central area of the province,Speed up the construction of the circle of urban central area;And accelerate the development of promising medium-sized city fast becoming big city,to solve the fault phenomenon in structure of urban system in Jilin Province;make extension of the central advancing industrial chain and expand the scale of industry to improve the economic strength of circle of urban area;Increases the massive employment opportunity and the urban circle supporting capacity for overall population, so as to accelerate the process of urbanization in Jilin Province.
