With economic developing and people's material and cultural standards improving, integration of transport and transportation are the inevitable trend of development, and the comprehensive passenger terminal is a key aspect to promote the integration of transport developing, so speeding up the construction of the comprehensive passenger terminal is the most urgent task. Comprehensive passenger terminal is an important point of the cities'traffic. LOS of the terminal's facilities and the whole terminal will impact efficiency and development of the integrated transport system. However current research on comprehensive passenger transport terminals are mainly focused on construction, machinery and electronics, communications and control, in lack of evaluation transfer function,distribution function,guiding function and parking function from the view of passengers. Different countries have different standards of facilities LOS. Therefore, it has great theoretical value and practical significance to establish the LOS standards and methods of comprehensive passenger terminal, from the actual situation of the country, transportation needs, economic base and pedestrian traffic development trend, in accordance with "people-oriented", scientific, practical, concise, practical and appropriate principlesThis paper based on the project of numerical experiment system of the function and structure of comprehensive passenger transport terminal which is a National High-tech Research and Development Program (863 project). In this paper, we did much study about evaluation LOS of facilities and overall LOS of comprehensive passenger transport terminal from the perspective of passengers. we also analyzed the impacts factors of LOS and passenger traffic characteristics in the terminal, eatablished the evaluating index systems and criterions of ticketing halls, walkways, and platform in comprehensive passenger transport terminal. At the same time, we elected the DAGF model to evaluate overall LOS of comprehensive passenger transport terminal, by comparing and analyzing existing comprehensive evaluation methods, combining with the system characteristics. At last, we evaluated and analyzed LOS of Beijing Xizhimen comprehensive passenger transport terminal.There are six parts in this paper, we will introduce each part in detail now.(1)Introduction. In this part we introduced the purpose and significance of the research, and introduced the current research status in domestic and foreign countries, study contents and methods, and so on.(2)Introduction of basic theory about LOS evaluation of passenger terminal. In this part we introduced the basis knowledge of, including the definition of comprehensive passenger transport terminal, the main facilities in the terminal, the functions of the terminal, and so on. At the same time, we introduced the relevant theoretical knowledge of evaluation, including the LOS evaluation flow of comprehensive passenger transport terminal, methods of evaluation index system establishment and Comprehensive Evaluation.(3) Evaluation LOS of Facilities in Comprehensive Passenger Transport Terminal. In this part we analyzed the characteristics of these facilities, and designed the evaluating index systems of their LOS (level of service). With the research of pedestrian behavior characteristics between Chinese and western people, the evaluating criterions of ticketing halls, walkways, and platform in comprehensive passenger transport terminal were established based on mathematical statistics and actual data. At last we compared the evaluating criterions designed in this paper and criterions in HCM2000 (Highway Capacity Manual 2000) and verified the rationality of our standards (4) Rearsch on overall LOS evaluation of comprehensive passenger transport terminal at the basis of DAGF. First of all, we analyzed the impact factors of overall LOS of comprehensive passenger transport terminal, and then seted up the overall LOS evaluation index system, and then selected the indexes using Correlation coefficient and item-total-correlation by SPSS software. At last, we set up DAGF model to evaluate the overall LOS evaluation of comprehensive passenger transport terminal. (5) Case study. In order to verify the evaluation criterions of the facilities LOS and the overall LOS evaluation system of comprehensive passenger transport terminal, this study chose Beijing Xizhimen comprehensive passenger transport terminal as an object. At the same time, we simulated the operation of the terminal using ARENA simulation software. Finally, we analyzed the evaluation and simulation results and put forward suggestions for improvement.(6) Conclusion In this part we summarized the main research contents and results and also the contents needed to more study.In this paper, we not only designed evaluation criterions of ticketing halls, walkways, and platform in comprehensive passenger transport terminal, but also established the overall LOS evaluation model at the basis of DAGF, which is applied to Beijing Xizhimen comprensive passenger transport terminal. The results of research not only enrich the theory but also play an important guiding role in planning and design of comprehensive passenger transport terminal, which is have important significance both in theory and practice.
