Research On Logistics Performance Measurement For Pharmaceutical Distribution Enterprise

With the globalization of competition, logistics management has got more and more attention from both academic and industrial fields. As a key component of logistics management, logistics management performance measurement can clearly make the node enterprises understand their position and contribution to logistics management performance, and adjust decision timely to improve the efficiency of the whole logistics management, so as to adapt the challenge of global competition. With the implementation of Health Care Reform, pharmaceutical distribution business is affected deeply, and the traditional model of pharmaceutical distribution hasn't existed. The reduction of the pharmaceutical distribution chain breaks the original classification of Pharmaceutical distribution enterprises. With the competition among the enterprises becoming sharper, more and more enterprises pay attention to logistics management. In this paper, the research on logistics performance measurement of pharmaceutical distribution enterprises has been done deeply. Research details are as follows:1. Analyze the present situation of pharmaceutical distribution enterprises and operations of their logistics. With the increasing of reform efforts, a group of backward pharmaceutical production and distribution enterprises has been backed out faster and faster, the circulation system of Chinese medicine has been improved, and the government has built a modern pharmaceutical logistics system and pharmaceutical logistics centers of a high level with advanced technology. In this case, the location of pharmaceutical distribution enterprises must be combined with pharmaceutical production enterprises, through further mergers and joint bankruptcy forming a modern logistics center with a large-scale collaborative enterprise .which is a development trend of pharmaceutical distribution enterprises. In the case of the absence of a suitable Third Party Logistics enterprises ,China's pharmaceutical distribution enterprises play the dual role of the drugs deal and logistics operators. Logistics distribution network of China's pharmaceutical distribution enterprises doesn't form a suitable scale. The level of the Information technology of logistics center is so slow that China's pharmaceutical distribution enterprises must improve the level of logistics management. Pharmaceutical distribution enterprises play a key role in Pharmaceutical logistics distribution architecture, but they still have many problems, such as operational inefficiency, low levels of information technology and so on.2. Build the indicator system for logistics performance measurement of pharmaceutical distribution enterprises. Logistics performance measurement will help pharmaceutical distribution enterprises identify problems of logistics operation. Building a framework for logistics performance measurement on the basis of relevant literature and the actual situation of pharmaceutical distribution enterprises. This paper points out two aspects of distribution performance,they are drivers and value performance. Distribution active factors,behavioral factors of distribution process and factors in the overall logistics operation are drivers of distribution performance. Combined with the characteristics of pharmaceutical distribution logistics management, these factors will be re-classified as Process Factors,Relational Factors and Operation Factors. Financial indicators are the most intuitive performance of management performance, so the financial factors can reflect the value of logistics management performance. The framework for logistics performance measurement of pharmaceutical distribution enterprises includes the four factors that have been mentioned. We have to select the appropriate indicators for each factors build a system for measurement and quantitate each indicator.3. Build the evaluation model for logistics performance measurement of pharmaceutical distribution enterprises. The weights of the indicators of logistics performance measurement system for pharmaceutical distribution enterprises are fixed by making use of The Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP). Based on the features of logistics management of pharmaceutical distribution enterprises, the evaluation model for logistics performance measurement of pharmaceutical distribution enterprises are built by using Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation Method.4. Evaluate the logistics performance of K pharmaceutical distribution enterprises, showing a comprehensive evaluation of the results and the corresponding countermeasures. With the applying of the indicator system and model that were built in this paper to evaluate the logistics performance of K pharmaceutical distribution enterprises ,it gets a better understanding of its logistics management. Comparing some indicators in the model of K pharmaceutical distribution enterprises with relevant data of enterprises in the same industries,we can identify the objectivity of indicator system and the model. Based on an analysis of the results of the evaluation, K pharmaceutical distribution enterprises can take the following specific measures to improve the level of logistics management: strengthening the communication between partners to raise the level of information technology, taking suitable mode of the logistics operation to reduce inventory and cost.Above all, the implementation of logistics performance of Pharmaceutical distribution can help the enterprises to find their deficiencies in logistics management and provide protection for those to obtain advantages in the competition.
