The Study On Co-evolution Of Franchising Chain Enterprises Based On The View Of Symbiosis

Franchise is a kind of working and managing model about modern market developing economically and developing on a large scale, it is also a way for chain enterprises to survive and expand.In this paper, the symbiotic theory in Biology is applied to discuss and research the symbiotic relationship between franchisor and franchisee. Also , the co-evolution theory is applied to study on the interaction relationship between franchising chain enterprises and environmental system. Based on the the view of symbiosis, this paper research on the symbiotic relationship between franchisor and franchisee, which can fill up the absence of the research on symbiotic relationship between franchisor and franchisee, and this is the starting point of the study.The characteristic of this paper is to combine the method of empirical research and theoretically research. As for theoretical research, it is mainly research on the following two aspects: Firstly, this paper cross- analyze the nature of relationship between franchisor and franchisee and franchising chain system with symbiotic theory; Secondly, the co-evolution theory of the commercial ecosystem is applied to the power and path of the co-evolution of franchising chain enterprises and external environmental system by exploring research. In addition, KFC is used as an example of a case study. It is found that a franchise system has two important features through theoretical and empirical study.First, the franchising system composed with franchisor and franchisee is a self-organization system. Second, the evolution of franchising chain enterprises is the result of the co-evolution of franchising chain system and external environmental system. And, their strong interactive and symbiotic relation is the power source of the evolution of franchising chain system.
