Research On QFD-Based Approach Of Supplier Evaluation

How to evaluate suppliers scientifically and efficiently under global sourcing environment has become an important subject of the enterprises, which implement global sourcing in recent years. This research in this thesis displays the problems in the current supplier evaluation field, presents an idea to use QFD for establishing an evaluation index system of supplier selelction, and accordingly submit a QFD-based approach of supplier evaluation and calculation model. The main contents can be concluded as the following parts.Analysis of problems in supplier evaluation under global sourcing. This thesis introduces actuality of global sourcing and its development trend, and analyses the particularities of supplier evaluation under global sourcing; furthermore, this thesis summarize the study of domestic and foreign scholars, and based on analysis of supplier evaluation approach of company BTC Group, expounds general problems in supplier evaluation. Then this thesis provides foundation for establishing a purchase requirements-oriented approach of supplier evaluation.The QFD-based approach of supplier evaluation. In this thesis, how to use QFD to establish a supplier evaluation index system, it is emphasized.Through method of QFD, to obtain enterprise's purchase requirements under global sourcing, based on analysis of purchasing resource strategy and purchase market, define importance of these purchase requirements, and then translate these purchase requirements and its weightiness into supplier evaluation index system, accordingly, establish a purchase-requirement-oriented evaluation index system of supplier selelction, and define a method of assessment and calculation for supplier evaluation.Finally, through an instance, validates the approach of QFD-based supplier evaluation. Validates that this method has a good applicable in practical supplier evaluation for supplier selelction, and this approach can solve the problems of supplier evaluation under global sourcing.
