| Deeping trend of global economic integration and rapid development of information technology provide a broader market space for China's business computer enterprises, on the other hand, due to the large number of domestic and foreign enterprises entering into China's market one after another, especially those well-known foreign enterprises with advanced technology, large capital and band strength involved in it, China's business computer market was led to a fierce competitive condition. In the face of the domestic business computer market with characters of standardization of product structure, similar performance, standardized services and rational consumption, competition among enterprises is changing from varieties of products and competitive prices in early period to a full-competitive position now, including price, sales models, marketing, human resources, marketing channels, corporate culture, strategic alliances and many other aspects. Therefore, every enterprise endeavors to do every effort to improve competitive power in order to deal with the chanllege coming from the ficere competitive market.After the comprehensive introduction of the theory of core competence, firstly, situation of China's business computer market including business desktop and business notebook markets at present was analyzed systematically in turn, then, HP's business computers are selected as target research, continual efforts on building core competencies of HP's business computers were analyzed in detail focusing on its product innovation strategy and unique service system, and the analysis of product innovation strategy includes two typical case studies of production innovation under Total Cost Ownership (TCO) spirit and revolution of production line with the theory of "Choice and Concentration", and business innovation strategy under Web 2.0. And then, main problems and solutions on marketing channel management and management of after service during building core competencies were summarized. Finally, it came to conclusion including main results, innovative points and future works. |
