Study On Relationship Of Main Interests Of The Taxi Industry

Urban congestion, energy shortage and environmental degradation have made the development of public transport in many cities in China become an inevitable choice. As the supplement, the proportion of taxi traffic to urban passenger traffic is greater and greater, taxi has become the important mean of transportation especially for urgent travel in the city with the development of economics and improvement of people's living standard. But with the development of taxi industry, more and more problems of the industry also appear. Serious interests distortions and conspicuous contradiction resulted in taxi passenger service industry becoming the focus of attention.The paper holds that the souce of the taxi industry problems lies in intrests conflict among government, taxi companies, drivers and passengers. How to straighten out the relationship among them is the key to resolve conflicts. The paper is mainly divided into six chapters: firstly, it gives a brief account of the game theory-based knowledge, and a systematic analysis of the principal-agent relationships among the four participants on the basis of the principal-agent theory; secondly, it analyzes the status of the right to operate a taxi, and has a detailed discussion from four areas that include whether or not charge, how to charge, whether or not give a deadline and whether or not transfer; thirdly, it does a study on the taxi business model and conculudes the company could achieve the ultimate goal of the taxi industry; fourthly, in the company operation, it sets up the taxi driver's pay principal-agent model for both symmetric and asymmetric information, does a systematic and in-depth analysis on the latter, and raises that menu mode for pay is a flexible and innovative way of encouraging; fifthly, on the basis of summing up the results of foreign industry control, it reckons that moderate price control is necessary as far as the current characteristics of the taxi industry. It also tells increasing taxi fares which is not the only way to solve rising oil prices may be hidden danger, we should set up a balanced and reasonable sharing mechanism among government, taxi companies, drivers and passengers; finally, the taxi industry association playing an important role in straightening out the four participants' relationship, the paper makes a full range of analysis and design.The paper is throughout the thought of game theory everywhere, considers questions standing in all of the participants' view, and expects solve the focus measures in the current taxi industry.
