Fanalysis On Factors Affecting Farmers' Willingness To Buy Improved Seed Of Paddy

As the seed is the most important input in the agricultural production, it has a remarkable role in the final output of agriculture. The seed industry develops fast after the implementation of Law of Seed in 2001. We can improve the farmers' income and increase the output of grain by spread of improved seed. However develop improved seed is not a transitory process, it is a long time comprehensive development. In the development of improved seed, the quality of seed improved obvious. Also, seed will play a more and more important role in the development of agriculture.The seed industry can be improved much in comparison with the developed countries, such as European countries and American. The supply of improved seed can not satisfy the real need. The farmers do need improved seed to improve their production. But there are not enough improved seed to satisfy the real need of farmer. So the paper will certificate which type of improved seed is the very need of farmer.Improved seed is one of agricultural technology. To promote improved seed is in consistent with to promote agricultural technology in some ways. But as the most important input of agriculture, it has its own characters. We will get the theoretical basis on how to promote improved seed in compassion with agricultural technology.Take nanjing for ecample, We investigated 150 farmers on which factors influence them when they buy the seed. Then we analyzed the data by SPSS11.0. The proportion of agricultural income, advertisement has a little effect on buying willingness; but the contact times with agricultural inspector, education, acquaintance of seed is the most important positive factors on buying willingness. And other factors ,work or not, the acreage, also influence the buying willingness.The factors influence buying willingness play an important role on increase sale, enlarge the acreage of improved seed. We should focus on the obvious factors to lead the farmers to buy improved seed. Enhancing the agricultural skill and improved seed, enlarge the scope of farmers, is the best way to increase the use of improved seed.
