Tourism industry has become one of the strongest global development momentums in 21st century to stimulate the growth of national economies. With the advent of mass tourism time, many countries and regions have will be the tourism industry as the leading industry in economic development and tourism market situation has undergone tremendous changes. But, as the development of the tourism market, we must take into account market positioning. Therefore, the immigration source markets for different Tourists preferred mode of a comparative study of great theoretical and practical significance. In this study, we did the relevant areas of research work as the example of Xinjiang. The major study contents and conclusions are as follows:1. Relying on two travel agencies, several universities and some foreign students and international tourists, search for questionnaire to five main source markets of the immigration tourists in Xinjiang. A total of 200 questionnaires were sent out, of which 120 in Chinese and 80 in English. And there were 172 valid which yielding a response rate of 86%.2. Analysis and comparison with the valid questionnaires systematically, the results shown that differences culture between Chinese and western have a significant impact on the choice of travel preferences to all international tourists into Xinjiang. International tourists into Xinjiang in the sex structure of mostly male, age structure of most young visitors, occupational structure of most ordinary workers, and are have a higher education degree. All major source markets of different types of Xinjiang's tourism resources are often a combination of preference, and not just limited to a single type. But, Japan and Korea R. O tourists are more prefer leisure travel project; the CIS tourists are more prefer border trade travel project; Southeast Asia tourists are more prefer religious culture travel project; Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan tourists are more prefer customs travel project; Europe and US tourists are more prefer special adventure travel projects. At the same time, there are more tourists in the perceptions of some scenic spots in Xinjiang which have been a better planning and an well-known tourism resources, such as Kanas.3."Silk Road"as an important platform to link various types of tourism products and has a great impacted on Xinjiang international tourism development. Against with differences between Chinese and Western cultural in the context of Xinjiang inbound tourism market development status, the study of Xinjiang international tourism development and planning along Silk Road point out the overall thinking. Such as strengthening efforts to promote the Silk Road oasis landscape traveling; sustained to develop the Silk Road border trade traveling; develop Silk Road cultural traveling actively; Prominent characteristics to develop Silk Road customs traveling; Orderly expand the Silk Road academic exchanges traveling; Flexible in-depth to develop Silk Road special adventure traveling; Combining with remains to develop the Silk Road history site and ancient city traveling. At the same time, when we build the Silk Road to be a quality tourist zone in northwest China, the five provinces should be a view to achieving the dynamic Silk Road tourism planning process by strengthened to remove barriers, implementation of resource integration, building qualities lines, and giving greater publicity to enhance competitiveness of the regional tourism brand,...
