Textile and garment industry is a traditional pillar industry of the national economy. To meet the domestic demand of over one billion people consume more than twenty million while creating jobs, but also for our country’s exports, foreign exchange reserves and trade surplus has made tremendous contribution. In2001, China’s textile and garment industry after joining WTO ushered in the increasingly bright future, but also face greater pressure and challenges. In this favorable international environment, how to seize the opportunity to use their strengths to improve the competitiveness of China’s textile and garment industry, to explore the international market, the industry has become an important and pressing contemporary issues.Market and economic characteristics of the textile and garment industry determines its natural fit for many small and medium enterprises survive and develop. At present, China’s textile and garment industry are small and medium weight forward, survival is a serious threat too many businesses in the face of this situation is how to deal with a major problem in front of everyone.Firstly, the traditional theory as well as through the relevant international competitiveness evaluation index for China’s textile and garment industry’s market share, revealed comparative advantage index, trade competitive index drawn from the analysis of international competitiveness evaluation of China’s textile and garment industry. Then the article focuses on China’s small and medium textile and garment enterprises to study competitiveness. From the definition of the characteristics and status of small and medium textile and garment enterprises start to Shaoxing Q company as an example, the company’s market situation analysis, SWOT analysis applied to establish the company’s competitive strategy, and the implementation of the strategy proposed personal recommendation.
