Abstract/Summary:
This dissertation of eco-tourism development of forest parks, a research project by combining theories with practice and on the basis of previous researches and studies from the scholars home and abroad, reveals the purposes of the development of eco-tourism for the forest parks and the two functions of nature and culture protection and public entertainment by taking the case of Lingxiu Shan Forest Park as an example. According to the theories of ecology, economics and humanities and with the employment of an integrated model of "Planning-Development-Management-Feedback", it analyzes systematically and broadly the eco-tourism development of Lingxiu Shan Forest Park.The dissertation analyses the feasibility of the eco-tourism development of Lingxiu Shan Forest Park on the basis of its location, natural and social environment. By applying the principles of SWOT in the eco-tourism development of Lingxiu Shan Forest Park, it makes a considerable survey and evaluation of the advantages and disadvantages in the aspects of nature, society and economy, listing the trend for eco-tourism development, the opportunities to attract tourists, the competitions among tourist attractions and the challenges facing the equipment and conditions. It advocates a policy of maintaining a good relationship between protection and development, a decisive factor of a successful development of eco-tourism. It gives an overall plan of the eco-tourism development of Lingxiu Shan Forest Park, involving its tourist market positioning, gallery design, eco-tourism circuit design, eco-tourism and environmental capacity of controls proposed for the further management of eco-tourism. A theoretical framework of sustainable development and feedback system for Lingxiu Shan Forest Park is built and positive advice is also presented for the implementation of eco-tourism.
