China's hydropower development has stepped into the stage of cascaded, integrated,scrolling development,and it has become into an increasingly urgent problem how to optimize cascaded hydropower investment structure because of its long period and huge amount.In this paper,beginning with screening the usual optimizing methods used in electricity investment,creates one optimizing model for cascaded hydropower investment.This optimizing model,in view of the multi-phase, multi-level properties of cascaded hydropower investment,bases on the multi-stage optimization characteristics of dynamic programming.Monte Carlo simulation will be integrated into forecasting the generation revenue of planned hydropower stations, and then builds one illustrative example to check the effectiveness of this model.The investment optimizing model optimizes the structure of cascaded hydropower investment,expand its investment value;make the investment decision-making more rational and accurate,so it can be used to guide investment design in cascaded hydropower development.
