The Coordinate Development Study Of Higher Education And Economic Growth In Beijing

As the main bearer of the foster innovation people, higher education is the basis for the development of a knowledge-based economy. Under the condition of knowledge-based economy, it was pushed to the prospects of economic activity. It plays a leading role in economic activity, as the innovation, distribution and transformation role of scientific knowledge. The development of higher education in a country decides the capacity of its scientific and technological innovation, and impacts its economic growth rate and mode. Therefore, how to grasp and measured the number of dependence relations between higher education and economic growth, the coordinated development of them is a very important theoretical and practical issue. For Beijing, to study the coordination of higher education and economic development is undoubtedly has important theoretical value and practical significance.Based on the statues of higher education and economic growth, we carried out correlation quantitative analysis with canonical correlation analysis and the determination shows that highly correlation between them. Followed by a study in two ways, on the one hand, by the forms of Cobb - Douglas production function theory, through labor growth variable function model which introduce the educational investment variable, then we measured the higher education's contribution to economic growth rate is 1.87% in Beijing since 1996, which is higher than 1.21%, the average level of the whle country. On the other hand, we did the in-depth analysis of the impact of higher education on economic growth, respectively, from three aspects, which are the government, enterprises and individual, to analysis the impact of economic growth on higher education.Furthermore, from the coupling co-ordination analysis of ecological economics, Empirical research has been carried out to analyze the co-ordination coupling degree between the economic growth and higher education in Beijing. The result shows that the relation between higher education and economic growth is in a higher coordination state, both to adapt to each other and promote each other. The development of higher education is slightly ahead, and the main reason comes down to the rapid expansion of higher education brought by economic development. Finally, for the issues that exist in Beijing's economic growth and higher education development, practical policy recommendations were put forward to.The biggest innovation of this paper is introducing the coulping degree calculation method of ecological economics into the study of higher education. Then provide new ideas and solutions to solve the issues between higher education and economic growth.
