Research On The Contribution Of Jiangxi Higher Education To Economic Growth

Higher education is essential to the comprehensive construction of a modern economic system.The in-depth training of new innovative talents by universities can promote the transformation of technological achievements,the rise of new technological industries and the cultivation of new economic growth points.At this stage,my country's economic development has entered a new normal,and Jiangxi Province will also enter the middle and late stages of industrialization.At the same time,the State Council agreed to establish an inland open economic pilot zone in Jiangxi Province,which is an important strategic opportunity period for Jiangxi Province to enter into economic development.The development of an open economy and the promotion of economic growth require higher levels of higher education.Studying the contribution of higher education in Jiangxi Province to economic growth can not only enrich relevant theoretical results,but also promote higher education in Jiangxi Province to better serve the development needs of an open economy,and promote sustainable and healthy economic development in Jiangxi Province.This paper draws on the theoretical research results and practical exploration experience of the contribution of higher education to economic growth at home and abroad,and takes higher education in Jiangxi Province as the research object.From the scale of higher education development and funding,regional GDP and economic industrial structure Analyze the status quo of higher education and economic development in Jiangxi Province at the same level;use econometric analysis to analyze the relevance of higher education and economic growth in Jiangxi Province from the three aspects of human resources,financial resources and economic development level of higher education;use human capital,Supported by economic growth theory,etc.,based on the establishment of a CD production function model,using Denison's factor analysis method to measure the contribution rate of higher education in Jiangxi Province to economic growth,and compare it with the country and Beijing,Liaoning,Jiangsu,Hubei,and Shaanxi Compare with the contribution rate of Guangxi higher education to economic growth,and then propose improvement strategies from the government,colleges and society levels based on the analysis conclusion.The main conclusions are:(1)There is a long-term dynamic equilibrium relationship between the development scale,funding and economic growth of higher education in Jiangxi Province.Among them,the scale of higher education development in Jiangxi Province and economic growth are mutually causal,and funding and economic growth show a one-way Granger causality relationship;the investment in higher education in Jiangxi Province has a long-term positive impact on economic growth,while the The scale of development has only a short-term positive impact on economic growth.(2)There is a high degree of correlation between labor input and economic growth in Jiangxi Province,and the output value of labor input in Jiangxi Province is higher than the output value of capital input,and the economy of Jiangxi Province has increasing returns to scale.(3)The contribution of higher education in Jiangxi Province to economic growth is relatively low.It is not only lower than the national average,but also lower than Beijing,Liaoning,Hubei,Jiangsu,Shaanxi,and Guangxi provinces(municipalities and autonomous regions).(4)The main reasons for the low contribution of higher education to economic growth in Jiangxi Province are: insufficient investment in higher education,unreasonable allocation of higher education resources,mismatch between professional structure and economic structure,and insufficient output of higher education research results High and unstable talents of college graduates.(5)Jiangxi Province must increase the contribution of higher education to economic growth.The government must increase funding for higher education,optimize the allocation of educational space resources,and strengthen the ability to absorb talents in the region;colleges and universities must optimize the structure of higher education and improve the output of scientific research results.Improve the employment guidance for graduates;all parties in the society should grasp the important strategic opportunity period for economic development,take advantage of the "One Belt and One Road" economic belt,the Yangtze River Economic Belt and the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and other opportunities to give full play to regional resource advantages to enhance Jiangxi Province The contribution and utility of higher education to economic growth.
