This paper analyse the relationship between electric power consumption and economic growth in China.The sample spans the period 1977-2006,which is divided into two stages according to three periods of economic development.The influence of economic growth, industry structure and energy efficiency on electric power consumption are analysed making use of cointegration theory,and obtain two cointegration models which have a long-term relationship between electric power consumption and influent factors.On the basis of cointegrtion model,the corresponding vector error correction models are established,test an verify the Granger causality from influent facors to electric power consumption by means of Granger causality test.In the meantime,impulse response function and variance decompositions are used to research dynamic response feature.Finally,an electric power demand model which has less error is established. |
