Research On Manufactured Intra-Industry Trade Of Sino-US

With the development of the global economy,traditional Comparative Advantage Theory can not explain the new trade phenomenon after World WarⅡ——one country will export and import the same products at the same time,so Intra-industry Trade emerges as require under this background.In recent years,research on Intra-industry Trade has caught public attention and been the frontier of international trade.At the same time,the level of Intra-industry Trade in one area has been one of the most important factors to evaluate the flexibility and the position of international division of labor.As far as China and USA,Intra-industry Trade of manufactured goods has become more and more common.It exceeds traditional Inter-industry Trade and becomes the main form of Sino-US trade.We should analyze and research this new trade pattern carefully.Research on advantages and disadvantages of manufactured Intra-industry Trade of Sino-US is vital,it has profound meaning of guidance for the optimization of industry structure,the improvement of technological capability,the rationalization of foreign trade structure and the enhance of manufactured goods' international competition.This work is done with the combination of the theoretical study and practical demonstration.Firstly,this paper illustrates the study background and meaning, describes the theoretical basis of Intra-industry Trade in detail and chooses the most suitable measuring method after comparing.Secondly,the 3rd chapter introduces Sino-US trade conditions and finds out the significant impact for economic development.The 4th chapter is based on the Sino-US import and export value, researches specific products under the third level of SITC and explores the pattern of Intra-industry Trade of Sino-US taking Greenaway's standards.Thirdly,the 5 chapter explores determinants of Intra-industry Trade and points out that AGDP,product differentiation,scale economy and FDI play active roles in promoting manufactured Intra-industry Trade of Sino-US.Finally,this thesis gives suggestions to promote the development of Sino-US Intra-industry Trade and draws final conclusions.
