In recent years, it develops quickly and intra-industry trade is a major factor,which determines the overseas trade development of developed economies and exerts profound influences on the development of international trade engaged in by developing nations. China's sustainable and fast economic growth,optimization and upgrading of industrial structure in the context of trade liberalization has make the commodity structure of China's foreign trade chang. Manufactured products have become the major exports of the country,replacing primary commodities Meanwhile,factors such as rising income,the diversified trend of consumption demand,and continuous expansion of FDI in size have continuously promoted the development of intra-industrial trade in China's manufactured exports and imports,resulting in the daily rising proportion of intra-industrial trade in the country's foreign trade. China and USA. as the most largest developing country and developed country, Expansion of the Intra-industry scale between the two country will be the main trend to enhance international trade.This paper, firstly,analyses its current situation of Sino-US manufactured trade from the perspective of trade size and trade structure.On the base, using the United Nations database on trade and the United States Bureau of Statistics published data empirically analyses intra-industry trade of Sino-US with Grubel-Lloyd index. Through the analysis of multiple perspectives, we receive characteristics and development trends of Sino-US intra-industry trade. Through much empirical analysis, the conclusions are:Sino-US intra-industry trade index is generally low, inter-industry trade is the basic pattern of bilateral trade. From trade structure,the paper argues that machinery and transport equipment are shown to be of higher intra-industry trade indexed From the trade patterns, the main features are the vertical intra-industry trade differentiated with the price and quality. And the trend has been strengthened in recent years.
