The Major Progress In The Research Of Mode Of Production In China Since Reform And Opening-up

Mode of production has play an important role in Marxist economic theory system. From the point of view of practice, Mode of production dominants the whole social life, it plays a decisive role in the existence and development of our society. From the point of view of theory, as a basic concept of Marxist economic theory system, mode of production is very important in understanding the study object of political economy and masters the theory system of Marxist economics.Yet, being influenced by Stalin's understanding of mode of production, China's Theoretical circles has long misunderstood the meaning of mode of production and even the study object of political economy, Scholars cannot master the theory of mode of production established by the founder of Marxism. Consequently, in the practice of Socialist modernization, we only pay attention to relations of production, the importance of mode of production was ignored, as a result, the solutions to the social problems based on the fallacy theory was little use in solving the problems. Now we have to understand the theory of mode of production correctly to master the theory system of Marxist economics and guide the practice of Socialist modernization in China.From the professional characteristics of History of Economic Thought, this article investigated the major progress and the important innovations of China's academic circles on the mode of production since the Reform and Opening up, to make some contributions on mastering the theory of mode of production systematically and it's further development. This article is divided into five parts, the chapters are as follows:Chapter One, Research significance. Mode of production has play an important role in Marxist economic theory system, yet , being inluenced by Soviet Union's traditional textbook, China's theoretical circles has long misunderstood the theory of mode of production. In the three decades of reform and opening-up, Chinese scholars has done a deeply and extensive research and discussion on the theory of mode of production. Reviewing and summarizing the research results systematicly has an important academic value in mastering the theory of mode of production correctly. Chapter Two, The history porcess of research of mode of production since reform and opening up. Based on chronological, this article analysis the research on mode of production from the founding of China, especially from reform and opening-up. The development of mode of production from the founding of China will be divided into five historical stages: 1,Research of the theory of mode of production before reform and opening-up; 2,Re-establish the concept of mode of production(1970s-1980s); 3,Discussion on the scope of mode of production(1980s-1990s); 4,The construction ofthe frame of the theory of mode of production (1990s--2000) ;5, Deeply research ofthe theory of mode of production (2000s--now ) .Chapter Three, Main achievements of the research about the theory of mode of production since reform and opening up. Based on chapter two, this chapter use contradictions analysis, overall analysis ,and dialectical analysis to master the major progress, and four major progresses was made. First, we determine that mode of production was the main study object of political economy. Second, we further explore the concept and scope of mode of production. Third, we re-establish the "productiveforces--mode of production--relations of production " principle made by thefounder of marxism. Fourth, we establish and complet the theory frame of mode of production.Chapter Four, Some important innovations on the theory of mode of production since reform and opening up. In addition, some scholars use the principle of mode of production to further research the new features of mode of production in modern society, and brought some new ideas. This chapter introduces some research results on the new features of mode of production in modern society(including Modern capitalist mode of production and Modern socialism mode of production)Chapter Five, Conclusions. This chapter summarizes the results of research and innovations.
