It is an elementary goal that everybody has the room to live in a civilized society. The housing, is"the public product"that the contemporary government provides for the inhabitants, that is to say, the government has the duty to satisfy the inhabitants'basic need for housing, and guarantee the healthy development of the housing market.As the foundation and pillar industry of the national economy, the housing industry's benign development may enhance the local economic growth, but its problems which exist in the developing process also can affect the local economic growth to a great degree and cause the inhabitants'living condition to fall into a pretty pass. In recent years, the housing industry gradually became a new economic growth point and consumption hotspot in China, which plays an important part in expanding internal need and promoting the growth of the national economy. At present, it is obvious that the housing market's running status and the implement of the housing security are not coordinated. The inhabitants'housing demand cannot be realized fully.Therefore, taking the theory of supply and demand in economics as a standpoint and the Shanxi housing market as the object, the thesis elaborates the present situation of the Shanxi housing market's supply and demand, analyzes its structure features and discusses its relations between supply and demand. Also the thesis proposes the analysis method of Shanxi Province's housing supply and demand structure's adaptability, as well as the strategy to suit the development of the Shanxi government with the basis of policy-making, but also provides the beneficial reference for other provinces'and cities'housing industry.The thesis mainly consists of three parts: Part One analyzes the relations between supply and demand of the housing economy as well as the primary factors that affect the housing's supply and demand theoretically and systematically. Part Two, through the data and structure analysis of supply and demand in the Shanxi housing market, draws the conclusion that the supply structure is unreasonable and the supply and demand structure is unsuitable. Part Three, through the analysis of the present situation of the Shanxi housing market's supply and demand structure, proposes the strategy of developing the Shanxi housing economy, which leads to a conclusion that adjusting the housing supply structure is the best choice for the healthy development of the Shanxi housing market.
