Study On The Perfection Of Green Barrier-related Environmental Law Of China

Deteriorating global environment,raised public awareness of environmental protection,formed green consumption pattern and fierce competition in international trade resulted in green barrier.Countries,esp. developed ones protect their ecological environment and domestic market by setting up a series of standards for imported products.Those which fail to meet the standards will be rejected.In this sense,green barrier impedes the liberalization of international trade while protecting the environment.Many countries esp.developing ones fall victims of green barrier.As a developing country,china is no exception.Therefore,it bears vital and far-reaching significance to study green barrier.The thesis analyzes the background,characteristics and forms of green barrier before it moves on to elaborate on the legal foundation of the green barrier.Then the thesis focuses on the impact green barrier has on our trade and environment.Later on the thesis analyzes existing problems with our green barrier-related environmental protection law and puts forward some concrete proposals for improvement.In conclusion,the thesis centers around the necessity to build up our own green barrier and principles we should adhere to when we build up our own green barrier with the conclusion that a complete green trade legal system,increased public awareness and promoted environmental protection industry are much needed for the building of our own green protection system with the ultimate goal of harmonious development of economy and environment.
