After entering WTO, China fused in the globalization of economy and freedomlization of trade formally. Meanwhile, international environment of China's agriculture also changed greatly. Although the nominal barriers preventing products into international markets (tariff, quota system etc.) are decreasing gradually, various disguising green barriers appearing as the form of environment signs and environment management signs are becoming more and more firm. It will become a new and main trade barrier. Recent years, developed countries construct a variety of trade protection modes in the name of protecting mankind health and environment. This kind of green trade barrier brought more and more influences on China's foreign trade in the method of rationalization in name, legitimacy in form, and concealment in protection etc. Agriculture can be influenced by green barrier more easily as a kind of weak industrial. Production, usage, consumption and dealing of agricultural products have intimately direct relation with environment, which caused it more difficult for China's agricultural products to enter international market. Thus, in the meanwhile of WTO providing more opportunities for China's agricultural development, it also makes China's agriculture face huge challenges. Secondly, green barrier is a kind of technical barrier having triple effects on price, quantity and welfare.. Because of this, it is necessary to carry out a study on impacts on trade caused by green barrier using both qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis. In quantitative, the paper uses three diverse methods which fall to different category arising from the different classification of the green barrier, to study the impacts of green barrier. Then a green barrier tariff model is set up to calculate green barrier tariff and to analyze the impacts of green barrier on import quantity, price and welfare. Thirdly, this paper has a case study dealing with the impacts of green barrier to soybean import set up by China, whose results is proved rather closed to the real situation. Finally, feasible tactics and advice are given aiming at the impacts presented above.
