Nowadays, competition is very drastic in the tourist market, molding a regional tourism destination image has became the key factor to get commanding point. In recent years, many provinces, cities and municipalities started to excavate the tourist resources in local, to mold local tourism destination image and to develop the tourist industry as the economical growth spot, which has taken the upsurge to seize the tourist resources. It is very important to mold a bright tourism destination image under the condition of regional competition. In some meaning, attention the tourists'perception, position an exact aim market and planning image is precondition and key to make a continually development.There are rich tourist resources and diverse tourism products in Shanxi, how through molds the bright regional tourism destination image of Shanxi, enhancing the well-knownness of tourism products, which has extremely practical significance to put tourism products towards the market. By the basis theories of position and planning the regional tourism destination image, with the deep analysis the necessity of position the regional tourism destination image of Shanxi, combining with a deep analysis about the"place"analysis, the characteristics of tourist resources and the tourist market study, the paper point out the ideas of position and planning regional tourism destination image of Shanxi.This paper is divided into seven parts: the first part is introduction; the second part is the necessity of position and planning the regional tourism destination image of Shanxi; the third part is the analysis of the"place"local, characteristics of the tourist resources and audiences of the tourism market; the fifth part is the principles of regional tourist destination image of Shanxi; the sixth part is the ideas of position and planning the regional tourism destination image of Shanxi; the seventh part is conclusion.I hoped the study of this paper that will guide and model the regional tourism destination image of Shanxi.
