| Nowadays, with the rapid economic development, various forms of economy like holiday economy, tourism economy, and sports holiday economy are booming, which stimulate the citizens'consumption and further promote economic development. With the development of sports industry, especially after China's success for bidding for holding Olympic Games in 2008, all circles in the society have been paying more attention to sports, as a result, the operation of sports economy has become an economic hot spot, in which sports lotteries should not be neglected as a new form of economy. Sports lotteries are issued by the country to develop sports industry. They are printed with numbers, graphics, or words for people to buy voluntarily, and they are written confirmations for the buyers to get the winning right according to certain regulations. Sports lotteries are issued from 1984 in our country, and the sale volume for that year is 0.5 billion RMB. In 2007, the sale volume is 38.5 billion RMB, rising 19% than the previous year, and 30% of the sale is used to develop sports industry. The development of lottery industry in our country has made it an essential economic source for the development and sustainable development of sports industry. Therefore, all provinces and cities in our country should enhance the development of sports lottery in order to fully utilize the advantage of it all over the country.Chongqing, the youngest municipality in China, has rich human resources in sports, and people here have high awareness of sports, which makes it has solid foundation and potential development space in sports industry. The sports industry in Chongqing was renowned as"the source of new China's sports industry"for its early starting and long history. But because of historical and geographical reasons, the sports resources are not fully exploited in Chongqing, so the sports industry here lags behind other regions. As the pillar of sports industry in Chongqing, the development of sports lottery is also behind other provinces and regions, which influences the further development of sports industry in Chongqing. Therefore, it is necessary to study the situation of sports lottery in Chongqing and figure out the factors that restrain its development, so as to make sports lottery a strong economic supporter and a new economic growth point in Chongqing's sports industry. |
