The typical "function management" has turned to modern "strategy management" in present corporation. It is a leap of modern corporation management. The strategy research is a activity of high level manager. The more complicated and variable the atmosphere of corporation is, and the more violent the competition is,the more important the strategy research is in the process of corporation management. The article systematically studied the competitive strategy of Coal-Coking company by combining the theory of strategy management with actual situations of corporation.The article completely analyzed maroscopic environments of corporation by four aspects of PEST. It deeply analyzed industrial competitive situation by Porter's model of five main competitive forces. It completely investigated and objectively analyzed inner situations of corporation in many aspects,such as products position, marketing capacity,production scale and equipment situation,energy and environment protecting situation, R&D situation, financial situation,human resource situation,and so on. The article systematically analyzed the corporation by the method of the value chain and the SWOT Matrix. It completely assured opportunities and threats, strengths and weaknesses which the corporation faced with.The tasks and the principles of the corporation were illustrated. The management ideas and the strategy targets of the corporation were assured. The general developing strategy and the partial competitive strategy of the Coal-Coking Company were put forward.In the implementation of strategy,the function strategies of main departments,which are marketing, production operation, products and technical innovation, finance, human resource,were put forward. The intend of reforming the present organization structure was suggested. The concrete steps and methods of implementing strategy control were proposed also.
