Research On The Tourism Resources Value Of Shandong Section Of Jing-Hang Canal

Shandong Section of Jing-Hang Canal(SJHC) is the middle section of the Jing-Hang Canal and 510kms in length.It linked Beijing with Jiangsu and Zhejiang Province.In the three Dynasties——Yuan,Ming,Qing,it was the necessary waterway of the transportation.Every year,thousands of rice and grain transported here.It concerned the basic safety and danger of Royal Family,so its strategic power was very important.Today, though SJHC's transportation function no longer exists,the river-way is getting narrower and narrower,theprofound cultural foundation of the Millennial Canal has been becoming the soul of local Tourism Resources Development.For these years,the academic focus on the SJHC has been heating up, and there are many research results.But most of them investigated and proved its historic context historically,trying to remember those previous flourishing ages.The research results from reality to analyze and research are fewer.Simultaneously,many cities along SJHC has began to plan and program these resources.But most of them only considered through the angle of "rehabilitating",the designing is short of new ideas and can' t reflect local feature.The profound historic culture is lack of full revealing.So the function transformation from transportation to tourism hasn't completed.This thesis inherited elder generation's results of their studying and is on the foundation of controlling cultural heritage dates and on-the-spot investigations,taking the "Canal' s historic culture feature " as a starting point to unfold the analysis and research from 3 following aspects:Firstly,using historic knowledge and methods to sum up Shandong Canal' s historic context;Secondly,using geographical theories,from location theory point to analyze Shandong Canal' geographical spatial feature.Thirdly,using Tourism Resources Development and Planning Theory to progress qualitative and quantitative evaluation to the Tourism Resources which are closely bound up with Canal' s historic culture feature along SJHC.And according to the evaluation results to design related scenic region.This is the highlight of this thesis.This paper's point lies in how to excavate the Canal Culture which is hosted by Tourism Resources along Shandong Canal when these cities are carrying out Tourism with the brand of "Canal".Moreover,the paper embedded Canal Culture into Tourism Resources Development like the spring rain moistens everything silently,so we can reveal Tourism Resources' historic value and cultural feature fully.This is not only important to the Tourism Development of cities along SJHC,but also has important meaning and value to the growing "Canal Applying World Heritage","South-to-North water diversion project",especially to the economic breakthrough and promotion of the Southwest of Shandong.
