Study On Land Use Change And Driving Forces In Urumqi

Recent years, with the development of population and progress of industry which make depth, scope, speed of land use of Urumqi demonstrate sharply increasing trend compared with before It is need urgently to research on land use change of Urumqi.This paper based on the altering data of land use in 1996 and 2006 .The author use the dynamic model of land use change to analyze to the quantity change of land use,the speed changed of land use, the degree change of land use, the regional difference of land use change in Urumqi between 1996 and 2006 .Qualitative analyze influence factor of land use change and use the factor analysis to quantitative analyze region state city land driving forces in Urumqi. Based on above mention, the author propose some suggestions and countermeasures to the land use in Urumqi.1,In 1996, the areas of forest, cultivated land and garden land are relatively large in Urumqi, among them garden land is biggest, accounting for 68.63% of land total area of the district. Furthermore, the areas of 10 kinds of land use pattern distribute unevenly in all the areas, and the difference is obvious.2,Form 1996 to 2006, land use of Urumqi take place the change by a large margin, displaying in the following several points concretely: the areas of cultivated land, forest land and unused land decrease, among them cultivated land is reduced most at an average variety rate 0.85% each year and this tendency had been kept form 1996 to 2006. The rest seven kinds of land use pattern increase, during the 11 years the area of garden land increases mostly with a biggest variety speed. The year variety rate of garden land amounts to 17.48%, showing on time to reduce after increasing with time.3,During the 11 years, land use synthesis index of Urumqi increases from196.00 to 196.84, and the land use degree variety measure is 0.84.Land use degree variety rate is larger than Zero(R>0), showing the land use degree of Urumqi is in a condition of development period and obviously elevated with a development trend. Compared with whole city, the land use degree of each area of Urumqi exists in obvious difference. The variety of land use synthesis degree of the Dongshan area biggest, with a quickest speed.4,There are obvious regional differences of 10 kinds of land use pattern in Urumqi .among them unused land is the maximum. The biggest district in relative variety of cultivated land is Dongshan area.5,Based on the analysis of land use change and main driving forces, an index system representing land use change and main driving forces is submitted. By means of factor analysis of the model, impact of main driving forces on cultivated land change is analyzed quantitatively. The correlation between factors and land use change is discussed . The results show that: The main driving forces of land use change of Urumqi city are the ratio of nonfarm economy and the number of population increase. Therefore, the paper reveals the mechanism of land use change of Urumqi, and also contributes to accumulate the methods and experiences in study of land use in the future.
