The Research On The Relationship Between Urbanization And Land Use Change In Urumqi

Urbanization,as the development trend of the contemporary society,has closely related to the rational use of land resources in a country or region.The rapid development of urbanization was accompanied by a series of social,economic and environmental problems,which seriously blocked the development of cities.In recent years,with the accelerating of urbanization process,the land resources utilization of Urumqi has changed greatly in breadth and depth,making the contradiction caused by urbanization become more and more fierce.The development of urbanization posed a severe challenge to land supply.Therefore,it was meaningful to study the relationship between urbanization development and land use change in Urumqi.Taken the social,economic statistical data of Urumqi from 2000 to 2015 years and 2000,2005,2010,2015 Landsat TM images as research data,the paper applied t he principal component analysis(PCA)method to study the comprehensive level of Urbanization,the supervised classification method to obtain the farmland,woodland,grassland,construction land,water and unused land area in various periods,the correlation and grey correlation analysis methods to determined mutual relationships between city urbanization and land-use changing.The analysis results were as follows:(1)Using the PCA method to study various selected factors and the results show that there exists two new urbanization subsystem,which were named social economic urbanization subsystem and population spatial urbanization subsystem.The contribution rate of social economic urbanization subsystem reached 76.31% and the population spatial urbanization subsystem reached 9.91%.Thus,it could be seen that the urbanization level of Urumqi was mainly affected by the level of social economic urbanization.As a whole,the comprehensive urbanization level of Urumqi showed an increasing trend.(2)From 2000 to 2015 years,the results of single type of land-use dynamic changes in Urumqi showed that the rates of land-use changed from big to small were construction land,cultivated land,water area,forest land,grassland and unused land.During the period,except cultivated land,grassland and unused lands,the areas of others land-use types were steadily increased.The areas of forest and water were keeping increase in 2000 to 2010 years,and decrease in 2011 to 2015 years.In the 2015 years,the comprehensive index of land-use in Urumqi was 194.258,which was relatively low.It showed that the land-use intensity was relatively poor.By 2000~2015,thus we could draw a conclusion that the land-use in Urumqi were in the development or adjustment periods;In the whole study period,2000 to 2015 years,the land-use diversity index of Urumqi was rising.So we could conclude that the diversity of land-use type gradually strengthened.(3)The correlation between urbanization and land use structure were: construction land > forest land > water area > grassland > unused land > cultivated land.From the perspective of land-use types,the correlation values between the construction land and urbanization comprehensive level,which reached 0.9625,was highest,and the forest association ranked second,which correlation degree was 0.9023,followed by water,grassland,unused land and cultivated land,the values were 0.8185,0.7995,0.7760,0.7347 respectively.
