China's poverty-stricken areas almost stay away from the conventional power grid, solving the power problem is neither realistic nor economic through the extension of the electricity grid. But most of these areas are abundant in renewable energy resources including wind, solar and hydro.Distributed wind power generation process itself does not produce pollution and can effectively reduce other sources of pollution,it would play a positive role in power construction,emission-reduction and energy-saving and building a green home in these remote areas. As the value of wind power is mainly reflected in the environmental and social benefits, how to scientifically transform external benefits into internal benefits, and how to reasonably evaluate the value of wind power,it plays an important role for investors and relevant government departments to make scientific decision in investing wind power.Unfortunately, the model and methodology used to calculate the cost and efficiency of wind power are not yet ripe.In this paper, first of all,techno-economic issues of distributed wind power generation are in-depth studied, then the social benefits of wind power is defined by analyzing local balanced benefits, establishing mathematical models. Finally, what factors the social benefits of wind power are sensitive to is analyzed based on an example of a wind farm. The mathematical model of the social benefits of wind power is established in this paper, which is important for transferring the external benefits into internal and evaluating the value of wind power quantitatively in guiding theory and practice.
