Competence & Competency research began in the early 1970's in U.S.A.The Competency used to describe the performance of a post on the personal characteristics,which differentiates excellent performers from average performers,it can be the mutation,attitudes, values,work-related knowledge,skills and behavior.This research employs questionnaire method to explore the job competency of Human Resource Manager(HRM) empirically and builds up a HRM competency model including critical competencies,the definitions.Then, this thesis adopts AHP method to calculate the items' weights in the index system,and use the comprehensive analysis to build the competency model.Through the ways of literature searching and analysis,releasing open questionnaires and other means to collect and distill items of competency,the questionnaire was made up.Than using statistical data analysis to analysis survey results.Through principal component analysis, four common factors are extracted and each factor contains its items.Through AHP method and comprehensive analysis,we establish a secondary level competency model.The results and findings in this research are helpful to HRM management including selection,training,and development,performance appraisal,compensation management and career development planning. |
