The Studies On Inventory Management Of Dairy Farm

The development of dairy farming, especially the stock raising, has been the important symbol for the modernized agriculture. Nowadays, the attention putting on increasing the quantity of milk cow has been replaced by placing on the level of single yield in the world dairy farming who thought much about intensive management and modern industrialization theory in dairy farming. Therefore, it is inevitable trend for dairy farm management to learn from the modern enterprises experiences and theory.One of the vital element in modern dairy farming management is inventory management. Inventory departments, as an essential logistics department, assume the supply for corporations. In this dissertation, the first time to ues inventory management theory into dairy production management, to compare the different inventory management and control methods, to determine the suitable inventory management method in dairy farm, that is, ABC classification management and Theory of rational order management.The dissertation analysed the inventory status of six dairy farm, including status of the farms, problems and reason, and the financial data in one of the farms in 2007. The ABC Classification Act in the inventory control theory was applied to analyse its feeding stuff inventory, which count the economical quantity and the locality of order. The finally data showed that availability of scientific control methods in inventory management can reduce inventory cost in dairy farm and increase profit margin.
