In recent years, the practice of using e-recruiting channel to recruit job applicants has increased steadily. Hence, the research on e-recruiting systems has become a hotspot in HR field both in theory and in practice. External environment motivation, service provider improvement and business model innovations provide both potentials and challenges for the e-recruiting systems'application and development. Consistent with this background, this paper will issue systematical research on e-recruiting systems and also give suggestions for the design and the development of e-recruiting systems. The paper adopts mainly three research methods: empirical research, questionnaire survey and case study. Firstly, the paper explains some theory knowledge such as recruiting preparations, plans, implementations and assessments. And then summarizes the typical recruiting patterns in practice. Through the case study of typical e-recruiting systems and leading e-assessment companies, establishes the best practice of current e-recruiting systems achitechture and module consititutions, and then discusses the main trend in the future development. Secondly, through the empirical research on 2007 fortune 200 companies'e-recruiting systems'achitechture and elements, classifies four main modules: company recruiting module, applicants application module, e-assessments module and test database module. Furthermore, this paper also constructs the questionnaire survey in order to probe the design skills of e-assessment systems which include time control, content composition, interface design and so on. Finally, depend on the conclusions above, provides the e-recruiting system instance which realizes two main functions: e-assessments and test database management.
