Research On The Development Of Time Quota Method For Mass Customization Enterprise

Along with economical development, mass customization production mode plays a more and more important role in production of modern society and the scale of the customization will be growing step by step. The requirements of customs in customization production are uncertain such as random order, various product types, more flexible production and etc. All these uncertainties cause the complexity to manage mass customization production. Due to inaccurate data of production time, mass customization enterprises, in order to ensure delivery time, in most cases will produce products needed by customers in advance. But they produce the products too earlier that will easily cause problems as extra inventory, product backlog, short of cash flow and etc. Time quota, as the basis of production management, plays a key and supporting role in production system. Therefore, for these mass customization enterprises, it is now essential and urgent to research and find out a time quota method, which can be applied in the mass customization production.This article, based on time research theory of mass customization production mode and industrial engineering, builds up a time quota method, Typical Operation Method (TOM) by integrating ideology of product similar methods, group technology, statistical hypothesis testing, regression analysis method and etc. This method fully integrates the ideology of group technology. Based on similar principle of the products as the precondition, this method analyses the features of products and operation process in mass customization production enterprises, choose representative process according to the principle of obtaining representative process, analyze in detail about what factors influence producing time of representative process, then obtain the regularity of time in producing and processing, analyze its relevant factors by modeling, and then verify mode of representative process time by analyzing its relevant factors, find out the time quota of the products according to the method of the time quota method already known, finally verify of the validity of time quota and determine the method of time quota for the products. Finally, the results of the study will be used in the production of customization production enterprises. With fully integrates the ideology of group technology.
