Study On Modeling And Color Of Traditional Folk House Of Yi Nationality In Liangshan Area

The municipality of Yi nationality in liang mountain area is the largest Yi nationality habitation in China. The municipality has been in pre-slavery society until the establishment of new China, and remained unchanged traditional culture of the Yi for thousands of years. It is the living fossil which can note traditional culture of the Yi. Recently, with the development of the western region, more and more new style construction have been built in the west area. How to remained the regional character during the Urban development of Liang mountain district and avoid the loss of localization and characteristics will be the important issue that the architects will have to face to in the future.Due to the simple type of construction in Liang mountain, simple folk house is the main constructing in there. So the thesis chose the sculpt and color of traditional folk house to study. According to the field survey and correlative information, the thesis analyzed main characteristics and elements as well as cultural connotation about the sculpt and color of traditional folk house. It also discussed how to use traditional sculpt and color in the regional construction design for the future.First, through sorting out background of appearance of traditional folk house in liang mountain Yi nationality, the thesis confirmed variety of factors which can impact sculpt and color. Meanwhile, the thesis summarized types and location selection of folk house as the important foundation for the study.Second, with field research data, thesis summarized the features of sculpt and color in external walls, roofs, doors and windows and analyzed their manifestations by the way of art design.Third, the form of the sculpt and color of traditional folk house depended on the long term social practice of Yi people. The sculpt and color of folk house lie on circumstance, regional condition, production level, aesthetic psychology and customs. From folk psychology, environment, production processes, religious beliefs comprehensively and systematically summed up the cultural connotations beyond the traditional residential sculpt and color.Finally, combined with current incline of regional construction design, according to the special design background of Liang mountain area, the thesis put forward the practical meaning of using of traditional sculpt and color and conducted case study about the part and whole using in architecture design. Through multiple and open creative thinking, the thesis advanced new ideas such as combine the urban landscape with high-tech in the future.
