A Study On The Knowledge Management Of Technological Innovation Process In Small And Medium-sized Enterprises

Technical innovation is the evolutionary process of knowledge generation,creation and application. Neglecting various forms of technical knowledge andmanagement will inevitably influence the outcome and effectiveness of themanagement of technological innovation. Knowledge management which takesadvantage of modern information technology to manage knowledge acquisition is themost effective way to fully explore the potential of technological innovation, promotethe speed of innovation. How to introduce knowledge management to enhanceinnovation and efficiency in the process of technological innovation in small andmedium enterprises has become the key to maintain a competitive advantage.This paper applies the theory of enterprise technology innovation and knowledgemanagement to study the introduction process of knowledge management whichdirects at technological innovation for SMEs. Based on the relationship betweentechnology and knowledge, the paper puts forward to the argument: nature oftechnology is knowledge. Comparing with technological innovation of small andmedium-sized and large enterprises in technological innovation, the paper concludesnew characteristics of technological innovation in small and medium-sized enterprises.Through an analysis of the current condition of technological innovation for SMEs,the paper conducts a research towards knowledge-demanding in different stages of theprocess of technological innovation. Conducting an in-depth analysis of application ofknowledge management in the process of technological innovation, the paper sets upknowledge management processes and application model, and believe that the smalland medium enterprises should establish knowledge-sharing and innovativeinformation technology platform, establish technological innovation knowledge basewhich offers the hardware platform and support system for knowledge management.Based on relationship between technological innovation and knowledge management, the paper analyzes how to combine knowledge management with technologyinnovation effectively to improve the efficiency of technological innovation, andresearch the content of knowledge management in the various stages of thetechnological innovation. Finally, the paper puts forward to taking use of knowledgemanagement theory to construct methods to supporting-system in small andmedium-sized technological innovation, namely: establishing organizational structureto facilitate the process of knowledge management in technological innovation, usingknowledge management methods to control the risk of technological innovation, andsetting up innovative mechanisms to track performance and so on.
